Ashley Privott

Ashley Privott is UVA's Chief Employee Engagement Officer in University Advancement. She manages the People Operations team, which serves the UVA Advancement Community by providing the tools, training, and information that staff need to be successful in their roles. Ashley leads onboarding and orientation programming, internal communications, and the Advancement Help Desk. She and her team are responsible for planning and convening the annual Week and Day of Learning programs.

Ashley has more than 20 years of advancement experience, serving in leadership roles in annual giving and alumni relations. She joined the UVA Advancement Community in August 2017, following more than a decade of service to her alma mater as the Executive Director of the JMU Alumni Association. She currently serves on the CASE District III Cabinet and has been a presenter, conference track chair, board committee chair, and district conference co-chair. She also served on the national executive committee for CASE's 2021 All Districts Conference. 

Ashley is a graduate of Old Dominion University and James Madison University, with degrees in Geology and College Student Personnel Administration. She lives in Richmond with her husband, Craig, and daughter, Max, and enjoys spending time at the beach.
