The University Advancement Technology Steering Committee evaluates proposed technology purchases and best practices in an effort to build partnerships, promote teamwork, ensure efficient uses of University resources and increase the accuracy and security of data used in the Advancement mission across Grounds.

The Committee:

• Provides strategic leadership for technology projects through the alignment of IT strategic objectives and activities with University Advancement's strategic fundraising plan
• Prioritizes technology investment initiatives and delivers final approvals and recommendations on proceeding with approved IT projects
• Ensures open communication between University Advancement and the schools and units of UVA's Advancement Community so as to promote collaborative planning
• Establishes data management best practices and data privacy policies and controls for the stewardship of data as an institutional asset

If you would like to submit a project or technology for consideration by UATSC, please email uatsc-submit@virginia.edu and include a description of the project or technology, your school or unit, project goals, benefits to individuals or the entire community and any available funding sources. Please also indicate whether the project requires a transfer of data to vendors outside of the University or University Affiliated Organizations (schools or foundations, etc.) and any risks involved in the proposed project or technology.
