Erin Johnson

Erin joined University Advancement’s Principal Gifts team in August 2023 as the Briefings and Communications Specialist. Erin leads strategic communications for the University’s principal gifts program, including preparing briefings for senior leaders, supporting proposal development, and advising and assisting on communications for or regarding top donors, including correspondence and reporting on gifts of $1M or more.

Before joining UVA, Erin worked at the RAND Corporation for more than 15 years, most recently leading the publishing program as the director of Research Editorial and Production. 

Outside of work, Erin enjoys reading, walking, playing piano, singing, cooking, and staring for hours at the beautiful trees and mountains around her home. She’s also the official beer taste-tester for her husband-turned-homebrewer, Mike.
