The Introduction to Advancement at UVA program is designed to integrate you into the UVA culture and to connect you with people, tools and resources. After participating in the program you will be able to:

  • Explain how Advancement work is organized and structured at UVA
  • Identify the key job roles/functions that make up Advancement work and the critical contribution of each to the overall fundraising effort
  • Explain the role of collaboration and teamwork in successful fundraising efforts at UVA
  • Summarize the importance of long-term relationships to the success of Advancement work at UVA and the role each of us plays in stewarding those relationships
  • Locate the resources available to support your effectiveness and performance and the policies and protocols that guide our work
  • Expand your network of colleagues across Grounds
