Joseph Montante

Joe is the Director of Virtual Philanthropy at the University Annual Giving Team, where he leads digital and frontline programs. His responsibilities include overseeing the Donor Experience (DXO) Program, Cavalier Connect (UVA’s student phonathon), and NextGen Philanthropy, focusing on student and young alumni giving programs. Through these initiatives, Joe’s team aims to increase undergraduate alumni participation and develop the donor pipeline.

Joe graduated from the University of Virginia in 2021 with a degree in Foreign Affairs. During his college years, he worked as a student fundraiser for Cavalier Connect. After graduation, he joined the University Annual Giving team. Joe is an avid Bluegrass and baseball fan and enjoys eating and fishing around Charlottesville.
