TekTok: Microsoft Planner – 2024 Transformation!

Last week at Week of Learning, we jumped into the opportunities that Microsoft Planner offers for project management, collaboration, and the implementation of productivity enhancing methods like Kanban.

This week, we'd like to highlight that Microsoft Planner is set to undergo a major transformation in 2024. The new Planner will offer an even more unified experience that brings together to-dos, tasks, plans, and projects into one simple, familiar interface.  Please see this video with examples of these new features

Another significant feature coming to the new Planner is the integration of CoPilot, Microsoft’s next-generation AI assistant. CoPilot in Planner will help you generate new plans, set goals, track status, and react to changes as projects evolve. While the conversation about the implementation of AI at UVA is ongoing, it is interesting to consider the possibilities.

The new Planner app will be available by Microsoft in Teams in early 2024, followed by a web experience later this year. The TekTok team will keep you appraised about availability for the UA community. In the meantime, for getting the most out of the current version of Planner, please see our 2023 article here
