Theresa King

Since joining the University Advancement team in August 2019, Theresa has honed impressive expertise in scholarship stewardship and contributed significantly to the success of the scholarships fundraising program at the University of Virginia. Theresa has streamlined processes for complex data collection, digitized student impact reports, and strengthened the relationship between Student Financial Services and Advancement. In addition to these accomplishments, Theresa has also developed a culture of philanthropy and awareness with student scholarship recipients, which has improved student participation and ultimately enhanced scholarship donor satisfaction. 

In the Spring of 2022 Theresa was announced as the winner of the “Act Strategically” ACE award. Theresa’s impressive work was also recognized by CASE, in 2021 she received Gold and Bronze Circle of Excellence Awards for “Re-Imagining Student Communication and Engagement.”

Outside of work, Theresa enjoys gardening, pets, and spending time with her family.
