Get ahead with this Advancement CRM training! Join Basecamp – a series of hands-on sessions designed to expose you to our new CRM platform before onboarding training and the official launch. Each session dives into different aspects of the system, building your skills and confidence along the way. When you register, you get an account in our training sandbox where you can practice. This session focuses on: Building your CRM vocabulary - new system, new lingo! Playing with List Views – like dynamic filters in EverTrue or Advance Lookups.  Basecamp is the perfect blend of insights into the system and practical exploration. It gives you a head start and helps you hit the ground running when we go live. *Registration for this session closes on Friday, April 11 so we have time to set up your access.

Wednesday, April 16 | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm EST | Classroom 50, Darden
Change is inevitable, but effective leadership during times of transition can make all the difference. This session, facilitated by partners from HR’s Organizational Development unit, will empower you with the skills needed to guide your teams through the changes ahead, such as the new CRM implementation and the conclusion of our campaign. You’ll discover strategies for maintaining team morale, communicating with clarity, and fostering adaptability to ensure a smooth transition. With a focus on leading with empathy and setting clear expectations, this session will equip you to help your team navigate these challenges with confidence and turn them into opportunities for growth and success. This session is part of the UA Leadership Forum and is open to managers in University Advancement.

Community News & Announcements

The long-awaited construction is underway on the Route 601 Bridge that runs over 250/29 on Old Ivy Road.
We hope you are staying safe as we begin the week. Given the severe weather across the country and in the Appalachian region—including flooding and expected snowfall in Charlottesville—we have made the decision to cancel this week’s in-person Collaboration Day.
Since early December, UVA Health Orthopedic staff have been parking in the IVY2 parking permit area due to construction in the U7 parking lot on Ivy Mountain. This shift has introduced more vehicles into the IVY2 parking deck and associated surface parking lot. Additional vehicles will continue parking here through the opening of the expanded U7 parking lot sometime in Spring 2025.
As we wrap up 2024 and embark on the final year of both the Honor the Future Campaign and the Advancement CRM Transformation Project, I am writing on behalf of the University Advancement Technology Steering Committee (UATSC) to provide updates and to share what we have planned for Winter Week of Learning.
A six-person committee including faculty steeped in democracy and public policy expertise has recommended to University of Virginia President Jim Ryan that he only consider issuing statements on national and international events when those events directly affect the University.
The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression has named the University of Virginia No. 1 in its latest college free speech rankings.
