Since early December, UVA Health Orthopedic staff have been parking in the IVY2 parking permit area due to construction in the U7 parking lot on Ivy Mountain. This shift has introduced more vehicles into the IVY2 parking deck and associated surface parking lot. Additional vehicles will continue parking here through the opening of the expanded U7 parking lot sometime in Spring 2025.
As we wrap up 2024 and embark on the final year of both the Honor the Future Campaign and the Advancement CRM Transformation Project, I am writing on behalf of the University Advancement Technology Steering Committee (UATSC) to provide updates and to share what we have planned for Winter Week of Learning.
Technology Services (ITS) will be holding their annual all-hands staff meeting on Friday, December 13th. Consequently, the ITS Desktop Support team will be unavailable to provide support from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on that day.
Old Ivy Bridge over Route 250 will be CLOSED for replacement starting Fall 2024 with an estimated completion date of Spring 2026.
A six-person committee including faculty steeped in democracy and public policy expertise has recommended to University of Virginia President Jim Ryan that he only consider issuing statements on national and international events when those events directly affect the University.
The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression has named the University of Virginia No. 1 in its latest college free speech rankings.
