We dedicate the third Wednesday of each month to working in-person in our Charlottesville office, with an open invitation for all of our UA teammates, near and far. The monthly collaboration days provide opportunities for us to work together on mutual projects, to orient and learn, and to connect with each other.

Conducting Your Own Survey? Pitfalls to Avoid and Best Practices in Survey Design

Sponsored by UVA Organizational Excellence While surveys have become ubiquitous, they vary widely in their quality and efficacy. Whether you are interested in conducting a survey to evaluate a program, assess department culture and climate, or advance your research, there are general best practices to follow when designing and administering a survey. In this session, you will learn about the types of survey error and how to minimize them, practical sampling approaches, tips to design a questionnaire that yields informative and actionable data, and strategies to boost response.
